CONCRETE PANELS CONNECTOR GREENFLEX ®

Fibraworld - Connettore Per Prefabbricati in PRFV (Pultrusione)

The concrete panels connector Greenflex is an innovative connection system internationally patented by Flexcomp Srl, that enhance the global performance of precast insulated sandwich panels.

This new system enables to achieve demanding precast wall panel U-Values or R-Values (*) thanks to the composition of the insert and to the construction technology.

To target specific U-Values that means save significant money thanks to an optimized design of the panel allowed by our specific Flexware software.

(*) U-values or R-values are the coefficients of heat transmission or thermal transmittance.

The concrete panels connector Greenflex, available in a full range of sizes, is easy-to-place, assures the distribution of the load on all the surface of the panel and allows the natural thermal dilatation and contraction of the external layer of the panel.

Thanks to the low conductivity of the material used for the production (GRP with vinylester resin), these connectors avoid any kind of thermal bridges typical of steel made connection systems.

HOW TO USE IT?

STEP 1/5: placing Greenflex and covering pieces with concrete

Fibraworld - Concrete Panels Connector (Step 1/5)
The Greenflex connectors must be fixed at the intersection of the rebar of the external mesh.
The double housing of the lower part of the connectors allows the operator to fix the connector to the mesh lied on any side.
The connectors bottom part and the mesh are covered by the concrete.

STEP 2/5: placing isolation

Fibraworld - Concrete Panels Connector (Step 2/5)
The insulation foams are placed between the connectors.
To optimize the production and to minimize the cuts, the width of the foam should be a multiply of the dimension of the mesh (i.e. 80 – 90 cm).

STEP 3/5: refining isolation

Fibraworld - Concrete Panels Connector (Step 3/5)

All the surface of the panel should be covered by the insulation foam.

STEP 4/5: adding spacer and final steel mesh

Fibraworld - Concrete Panels Connector (Step 4/5)

The panel is completed with additional foam for lightening the panel and increase insulation, the main reinforcement and the final steel mesh.

STEP 5/5: pouring the concrete of bearing layer

The final casting of concrete fills completely and finish the panel.
